## **Changing the language setting**

You can change the language in Immodio yourself at any time. This allows you to use the tenant portal in the language that is most comfortable for you.

To do so, go to your personal settings and select the desired language.

### Why are documents such as the rental agreement not translated?

You can change the language of the tenant portal at any time. However, legally relevant documents such as the rental agreement, addendums, handover protocols or other contractual documents remain stored in their original language.

The reason is that these documents are legally relevant original documents. An automatic translation could change individual terms, wording or legal meanings. To ensure that it is always clear which version applies between tenant and landlord, the original document is displayed unchanged.

In Germany, German is the official language. German is also the language used in court proceedings. For this reason, legally relevant documents are usually kept in German.

You can still change the portal language at any time. Menus, notices and general information will then be displayed in the selected language. Uploaded or provided documents, however, remain in their original version.

### **What does the language setting do?**

The language setting determines the language in which the Immodio tenant portal is displayed. This includes, for example, menus, notices, buttons and general information in the portal.

## Spracheinstellung ändern

Sie können die Sprache in Immodio jederzeit selbst ändern. So lässt sich das Mieterportal in der Sprache nutzen, die für Sie am angenehmsten ist.

Gehen Sie dazu in Ihre persönlichen Einstellungen und wählen Sie dort die gewünschte Sprache aus.

### Was bewirkt die Spracheinstellung?

Die Spracheinstellung legt fest, in welcher Sprache Ihnen das Immodio Mieterportal angezeigt wird. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel Menüs, Hinweise, Schaltflächen und allgemeine Informationen im Portal.

### Warum werden Dokumente wie der Mietvertrag nicht übersetzt?

Die Sprache des Mieterportals kann jederzeit geändert werden. Rechtsverbindliche Dokumente wie der Mietvertrag, Nachträge, Übergabeprotokolle oder andere Vertragsunterlagen bleiben jedoch in der ursprünglichen Sprache gespeichert.

Der Grund dafür ist, dass diese Dokumente rechtlich relevante Originaldokumente sind. Eine automatische Übersetzung könnte einzelne Begriffe, Formulierungen oder rechtliche Bedeutungen verändern. Damit immer eindeutig nachvollziehbar bleibt, welche Fassung zwischen Mieter und Vermieter gilt, wird das Originaldokument unverändert angezeigt.

In Deutschland ist außerdem Deutsch die Amtssprache. Auch vor Gericht ist die Gerichtssprache Deutsch. Deshalb werden rechtlich relevante Unterlagen in der Regel in deutscher Sprache geführt.

Sie können die Sprache des Portals weiterhin jederzeit umstellen. Menüs, Hinweise und allgemeine Informationen werden dann in der gewählten Sprache angezeigt. Hochgeladene oder bereitgestellte Dokumente bleiben jedoch in ihrer Originalfassung bestehen.
