# Language settings

## Changing the language

You can change the language in Immodio at any time. Open your personal settings and select the language you prefer for the tenant portal.

### What does the language setting change?

The setting changes the language of menus, notices, buttons and general information in the portal. Help links open the German help centre when German is selected and the English help centre for other languages.

### Why are tenancy agreements and other documents not translated?

Tenancy agreements, addenda, handover reports and other contractual documents remain in their original language. Automatic translation could change terms, wording or legal meanings. Displaying the original keeps it clear which version applies between you and your landlord.

You can still change the portal language at any time. Uploaded and provided documents remain in their original form.

If you do not fully understand a document, have it translated or reviewed before signing it or relying on it.
