# Sign the tenancy agreement

How do I sign my Immodio tenancy agreement?

Once the landlord has prepared your tenancy agreement, you will be notified by email. In Immodio, you can find the draft under **“Tenancies”** in the **“Documents”** tab.

### View the draft

Click the draft tenancy agreement to view it. Please read it carefully.

### Sign the tenancy agreement

Click **“Sign”** to sign the tenancy agreement digitally. Please note: if there are several applicants, all applicants must sign before the agreement is sent to the landlord for countersignature.

* First confirm your consent by selecting all the required checkboxes.
* You can then sign the tenancy agreement.
* Finish by clicking **“Save signature”**.
* Once all applicants have signed, the agreement will be sent to the landlord for countersignature. After the landlord has signed, you will find the fully signed tenancy agreement under **“Tenancies”** in the **“Documents”** tab.

In certain cases, the tenancy agreement or an additional agreement may need to be **signed by hand**. This applies in particular where the law requires **written form under Section 126 of the German Civil Code (BGB)**. Your landlord will let you know if this is necessary for your tenancy.
